New Orleans Multiple-Vehicle Car Crash in Central Business District
New Orleans, Louisiana – Early morning on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, a vehicle attempted to flee the scene of a hit-and-run after crashing into multiple vehicles.
It all began at approximately 10:32 am. Reportedly, the New Orleans Police Department received a call from someone saying a vehicle was following them. The caller described the vehicle that was following them to be a maroon-colored Chevrolet, and the vehicle was following at around Poydras and Tchoupitoulas streets. An NOPD vehicle responded and arrived at the scene, approached the suspicious vehicle, and turned on its lights.
Immediately after this, the suspect driver tried to flee the scene, hitting multiple vehicles along the way before finally stopping in the New Orleans Central Business District. The suspect vehicle also nearly crashed into a mother’s next door’s dining room. Two men fled the suspect vehicle and ran from the scene. NOPD officers later found a handgun at the scene of the hit-and-run. The officers believe the gun may have belonged to the two men. Luckily, there were no reported injuries as a result of the hit-and-run. Anyone with information regarding this incident should call the New Orleans Police Department at 504-658-6080.

Car Hits Dump Truck Accident in St. Charles Parish
St. Charles Parish, LA (October 22,2018)- A dump truck accident left one dead in the Killona area of St. Charles Parish. The car involved was a Nissan Altima. The accident happened around 7:15 pm. The police arrived shortly afterwards.
The driver of the Nissan, the only person in the vehicle, drove south on Louisiana 3127. The accident happened just as he was about to reach Highway 3141. The Altima struck the back of a dump truck. The dump truck was disabled on the side of the road. It partially blocked the left lane and median opening which caused the car to run off the road and into a ditch.
A 47-year-old male was the driver of the dump truck. He did not suffer injury. However, the driver of the Nisson, a 33-year-old male, died at the scene.
The truck driver did not seem impaired, voluntarily providing the police a blood sample. It remains unknown if the 33-year-old was impaired in any way. According to the police, he was wearing a seat belt.
Mike Brandner Injury Attorneys send their thoughts and prayers to the family during this incredibly tough time.
New Orleans, Louisiana – On September 23, 2018 at approximately 4 pm, an accident involving 17 vehicles occurred on I-10 westbound.
No one suffered from any serious injuries, thankfully. In addition, no one died as a result of the accident. However, 11 people did have to go to the hospital for the treatment of less serious injuries. The 11 injured went to 4 different area hospitals, according to New Orleans Police Department.
Authorities suspect that the heavy rainstorm that occurred earlier in the afternoon contributed to the 17-vehicle New Orleans pileup. Rainy weather, as we know, can be quite dangerous to drive in. Once the accident happened, traffic became congested, as is expected after such an accident. For a while, traffic could only get by using one lane and the shoulder of I-10. The congestion stretched all the way back to I-510, at least until 6:45 pm, when congestion started to ease up. Authorities suggested drivers should, if possible, find a different route to their destination.
We at Mike Brandner Injury Attorneys extend our wishes of swift and complete recovery for those injured. Accidents can be difficult to deal with, especially when suffering an injury from them. We hope for the best, and we truly hope for the smooth transition for the friends and families of those injured.
